Aunty PIPA
Who is Aunty PIPA?
Aunty PIPA (Pressure Injury People Aware) attends our events as ‘the patient’ and never fails to spread cheer and happiness amongst the nurses. As one senior nurse said to us: ‘you have no idea what it means to us to be able to put a smile on the faces of our nurses’.
We have included some pictures viewable here →
Whilst she is a huge amount of fun, she does also bring an important message around Falls Injury Prevention; having this level of engagement has proven a real winner for education and awareness amongst the teams.
Here is the MY Aunty PIPA Book around some positive key PI messages that one of our partner hospitals developed.
